This Australia Day long weekend sees this season’s running of the RSA Street Stocker Australian Title at Gilgandra Speedway. Running over 2 nights, Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th this event is building up to be massive. Nominations continue to roll in and will stay open for just a few more days with the opportunity to nominate closing at 6pm this Saturday 12th of January. With the current Australia #1 Shane Carlson already nominated and other movers and shakers like Davoodi, Wakeman, Marino and Eveleigh nominated as well, this is going to be a battle to the final chequer! With the final format to be released shortly after nominations close there will be no doubt that both Saturday and Sunday nights will be action-packed as the best of the best hussle for a good starting position for the Title Feature.

Heaps of Support on the Program

Not to take away from the title, there will be lots of other divisions at this event and some pretty special drivers taking part in some awesome racing, all fighting to take the win on the night. This Australia Day long weekend event will also see support divisions such as the RSA Outlaw Sedans putting on a loud V8 show for the crowds. There will also be the running of the “Michael Harland Memorial – Bendy 1500” with the RSA Fender Benders and the RSA Junior Sedans will also make an appearance as well.

Support not just on the Track

As usual, the Gilgandra Speedway Club will be looking after all the locals as well as guests to the venue for the long weekend. Camping at the track for your stay there is welcomed and the club is even supplying that FREE! To show your gratitude for their wonderful offer, please take advantage of the “Egg. Bacon and Coffee” breakfast put on by the club for only a small charge. What a great way to fill your fuel tanks each morning before the exciting events to come.

It’s Time!

This Australia Day Long Weekend, Racing Sedans Australia in conjunction with Gilgandra Speedway Club, will present this season’s running of the Street Stockers Australian Title.

Over both Saturday the 26th and Sunday the 27th of January, Drivers from everywhere will compete in this massive event to decide just who will be this season’s champion.

Season 2017-18 Champion

Last season at Valvoline Raceway, in excess of 50 cars fought it out to decide the Title. Western Sydney Street Stockers Club played host to drivers from all over. The day was a hectic one with multiple groups competing in three rounds of heats to fight their way to the main event. By the end of the feature and after the lead being held in the later stages by Shaun Davoodi in his Commodore, the event of a shower in the dying stages of the race saw Shane Carlson’s Falcon come to the fore with his Ford coping with the wet track to take the win and the Australian Title.

This Time Around

So far this season Saturday Nights have seen some fast running competition with some strong finishes from some of the regulars and a few unexpected drivers as well! Drivers like Brendan Wakeman, Shaun Davoodi, Chris Marino, Shane Carlson have managed wins and places at their club rounds and Max Cotton in his newly built Monaro broke into the season with some very fast laps as he irons out the usual teething problems with a new car. Local track knowledge may also play a part in the final results with drivers like the Cartwright’s expected to compete. No matter how it goes, we will know by the end of racing on Sunday 27th of January just who was fast enough across the 2 nights to be named this season’s Champion. Can Shane Carlson make it two in a row or will one of the others like Davoodi, Wakeman or Marino breakthrough? Only time and some fast close racing will give us the answer!

Racing Sedans Australia in conjunction with Portland District Motor Sports Club is excited to announce the Inaugural RSA Junior Sedans Australian Title to be held at Cullen Bullen Raceway on the 24th of November 2018. RSA continues to make history. Last season saw our first ever Junior Sedan Qld Title at Archerfield Speedway where an awesome field of talented young drivers competed to win the Queensland State Crown! This is going to be even bigger!

Nominations are open to all currently registered 2018-2019 (Division 3 Junior Sedans) R.S.A Junior Sedans and other currently registered 2018-2019 Junior Sedans only but only vehicles that meet and do not exceed the current specifications of the RSA Inc Junior Sedans and must register with an RSA club prior to nominations closing.

Junior Sedan registered vehicles from other associations are most welcome but they must be presented and run only to the maximum RSA specifications and must of competed in a minimum of 2 race meetings as shown by logbook entry and must provide log book with proof of meetings on the day with RSA AND, if any nominating driver is at all unsure of their vehicle, or any part thereof, meeting and/or exceeding current R.S.A specifications, please contact the R.S.A BEFORE nominating so issue /s may be fully explained and adjudicated on before any possible approval for competition at this event is granted.
